Park Day

James and I packed a picnic and walked down to the park yesterday. A lady in my MOMs Club and I had been talking about getting together because our kids have similar/odd nap schedules. So we had a picnic at the park. And we ended up spending a long time there. It was a lot of fun.
James is grasping the concept of going around the back of the slide before going down it. It's really fun to watch him learn and process new skills. =)

Zoo

Kind of on a whim this morning, I announced that we should go to the zoo today. It was such a nice warm day, and James had just had his first nap and eaten lunch. Timing was perfect! Jimmy jumped in the shower and we left soon after. It was so fun.

We saw tigers, a bear, lions, monkeys, goats, and all kinds of birds. James loved the birds. He surprised us by signing "bird" when he saw them! ::gushing with pride:: He was a little afraid when we fed the goats. The train ride was a highlight. We didn't stay too long. The zoo was just big enough for us to get through in time for James' second nap (still taking 2).

We had such a fun time. I'm glad we decided to be spontaneous and head out there. =)

Rocking Chair

James has a new rocking chair. He spent all day yesterday perfecting the art of climbing in and out of it without help. He was so determined. Today he's being very nonchalant about it. Like it "ain't no thang." He's so cute =)

It's so funny- when Jimmy or I start to brush our teeth James wants to do it too, so bad!

Don't ya wish these things could last forever. That's really why I started this blog. To look back in 9 years and wish my son still had the same enthusiasm for oral hygiene.
